Step 1 - Choose your gifts

The first thing to do is think of what gifts you'd actually like. So you need to Add Items To Your List. (This link is also available on the left hand side). When you first get to that page there will be no gifts on your list, so you need to click on the link at the top of the page to Add an item to your list. On that page you need to enter a short name for the gift (eg Xbox260, or Harry Potter DVD, or whatever). Then you give the gift a star rating that tells everyone how much you want the gift. 5 stars goes to the top of the list, one to the bottom. Then you can give a longer description in which you can add comments. Here's where you'd put in things like a clothing size, or a colour, or a rough idea of your gift's price. Lastly there's a box where you can type or copy in web links to where the gift is sold on the web.

Once you've added your gift it goes on your list, and you can keep on adding them. Once you've run out of ideas, this bit is done but you can always come back and add some more gift ideas as you think of them!

Step 2 - Add your friends

The next thing to do is add your friends Email addresses. Put your family, your friends and relatives in this list. Again the list will be empty when you start, so just keep adding them until you've got everyone on your list.

If your family or friends have access to the internet but no Email address, that's fine, just put their name in and lett them know the website name (www.memory-mate.com) and give them your PIN number. They can then access via the Family and friends login.

Step 3 - Email them your list!

Finally, once you've put all your email addresses in, you click on the "Email all" button on the bottom of the friends list page.
